A FEW OF MY FAVORITE MEMORIES
Yesterday and Today
Mike Mech grew up in a home where meals were made from scratch. Everyday dining and special occasions were celebrated around the table and extended family, as well as friends, were always welcome.
Sharing vintage culinary creations is the backbone of Mike’s food heritage and his joy of cooking has grown to include new ingredient recommendations that even the best old family recipes did not incorporate. Mike’s early bungalow days were the starting point for his culinary career, and today, he pays homage to those influential years as The Bungalow Chef.
FROM THE BUNGALOW TO
CULINARY SCHOOL AND BEYOND
Mike began his corporate culinary career after attending culinary school. From restaurant management at the Levy Restaurant Group to R&D chef at H.J. Heinz, to multiple sales positions at gourmet specialty companies, Mike has traversed his culinary career profession with enthusiasm. Today, Mike is Culinary Sales Chef and Retail Sales lead for the Filo Factory.
One of Mikes favored stops along his culinary journey was being the primary chocolatier at the famed House of Fine Chocolates which he now owns today.
